Bye bye winter skin

Posted on March 16, 2019 at 4:34 PM Comments comments (164)
Time to get your glow on ladies!  Ditch the heavy moisturizer, exfoliate your skin to unclog pores and slough away dead skin, and make sure your moisturizer or foundation has sunscreen protection.

Wedding-Day white teeth

Wedding-Day white teeth!
Use a little toothpaste, mix in one teaspoon baking soda, one teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide, half a teaspoon water. Thoroughly mix, then brush your teeth for 2 minutes. Remember to do this once a week until you have the results you want.  Once your teeth are good and white, limit yourself to using the whitening treatment once every month or two.

Highlighting your eyes

By highlighting certain areas, you can easily create the illusion of a brighter eye. Using lighter shades in areas to help them stand out, and deeper shades to add depth, pushing them back. My favorite sweet spots to highlight are the inner corner, the center of eyelid, and along the brow bone.

Makeup Trial tip

Wear a white tshirt when you have your trial makeup so that you can see how the makeup looks against a pale color, and take a picture of yourself in daylight.

Dark circle help

Posted on February 29, 2016 at 5:49 PM Comments comments (28)
Use green tea bags- Green tea is rich in antioxidants and can make up for antioxidant deficiencies in the body that contribute to dark circles. Pour hot water over two tea bags and let them steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and place them in the freezer. Remove when the tea bags are very cold. Lie down and press the tea bags onto your eyes. Hold them there for about 15 minutes. Rinse your eyes with cold water and pat dry.

Wash before you snooze

While forgetting to wash your face for one night is unlikely to cause lasting damage to your skin, one night is all it takes to clog pores and cause a breakout. Makeup left on skin overnight can prevent the skin from “breathing,” and can also inhibit the skin’s process of repair and regeneration while you sleep.  So before you start your Netflix, make it a habit to wash your face, and you will be glad you did.  Now enjoy your show!

Green Tea

It is a powerful anti-aging skincare ingredient that can help firm or depuff the skin, along with being a great antioxidant.  It also helps make fine lines and wrinkles look smaller, so drink a cup a day and feel/see the difference.

Spring makeup 2013

Posted on March 27, 2013 at 5:56 PM Comments comments (28)
Spring makeup should be as light and refreshing as the season in which you wear it. Spring is a time for renewal and new beginnings. Many women look forward to it as a chance to update their wardrobes and hairstyles. Makeup should not be any different. Focus on soft colors and a light hand and your look will fall right in line with the new season.
